L’equip Petit: little but great team...:)

The story of a team that had conceded 271 goal in a season and  scored only one goal at their last game...

The greatest thing is the happiness of these children for all that...:)

My Team Lotus! :)

I suppose, except to be audience to take part in the sport is a dream of every sport lover. Though I am 23 years old, I had that chance so many times in my life. However, none of them can be as great as like this weekend. During the race weekend of Turkish Grand Prix, I have been at paddock with Team Lotus.

Before I tell you the experience, I want to tell how I get that chance. I saw the announcement about Spark at the Team Lotus website and even the dream of being at garage of F1 team is unbelieviable. I sent an e-mail without hope and I told my sport and F1 love. I become really nervous as I was happy when they said me “You are Spark!”. Because I would be alone with people that I didn’t know and although the F1 world is looking fascinating, it seems scary too. When I met with online editor Steven at team hotel, my tension has descreased, he explained what I should do an don’t and it didn’t seem horrible as I thought.

Now, I don’t want to tell all the details one by one I live for three days. (I had already done that on Twitter, should follow me!!! J) During the practices, qualifying and race, I watched the engineers’ work, I listened the team radio that you can’t hear while watching the race on TV (actually that’s dissappointed me because I expected to hear from Mike Gascoyne something exciting like  “Jarno, Heikki is faster than you, can you confirm that?” but unfortunately I just heard mostly “blue flag!” J) and observed what the drivers do out of the car. If I won’t work at F1 team, probably, I can’t watch again the qualies next to Jarno Trulli (after the Q1 he watched the qualies at hospitality area) or never encounter with Kovalainen 5-10 minutes before the race. Although it seems very exciting but while you’re living that you feel that’s so natural. J

When I looked back to last weekend, I really lived one of the most magnificient experience in my life. I got the chance to be part of the sport that I’m just a fan. The atmosphere was so different than I had thought but definitely warmer and more positive.

When we first met with Steven at hotel, he gave me a guide about the paddock and weekend. There’s written “remember, no team is as open and friendly as Team Lotus!!” When I read this I just laughed but now I can say he’s certainly right. J

Finally, I wasn’t a real fan of Team Lotus, I just like them but at the end of three days with the team, I become definitely a Team Lotus fan. I wish everything continue as they want at the rest of season because whole the team deserve the best!
